Do bridal showers have themes?

Do all bridal showers have themes and need to give out favors? anyone know of any cute ones? thanks!

I don't think all bridal showers have to have themes, but mine did.
DH & I go to the beach alot - since before we started dating. He proposed on the beach, so my girls and family had a beach theme at my shower.

i love flowers and to garden, so my sister had a gardening, yard, patio theme. people really got into it and i got great stuff!

It certainly doesn't have to have a theme. But if your wedding has a theme then it should run along with that. Favors are usually handed out, but not as elaborate as those for the wedding.

Mine did. My BM's did an all-out fall theme to go with my wedding, complete with carved pumpkin centerpieces and a scarecrow wishing well. I loved it!

They don't have to. Mine had a 'pansy' theme because I LOVE pansies.

But, I haven't seen themes at any other shower that I went to.

We did a beach theme for my friend since she wanted a beach wedding and is not having one. I don't think it is necessary though.

We were going to Hawaii on our HM so my BM made my shower a Hawaiian luau theme!
