Engagement Party / Bridal Shower Question

We're having a small wedding. Are the people invited to the engagement party or the bridal shower the people that are invited to the wedding? Or are other people invited?

Re: Engagement Party / Bridal Shower Question

i would stay consistent. you dont want people to feel left out or insulted.
we invited the same people to our engagement party as we did the wedding, and all of the females to the bridal shower.

I agree, stay as consistant as you can. Our E-Party was last month and we're getting married June '06. If it happens that FH (who is a cop) changes the precinct he works in, that'll change some of our guests invited to the wedding. As well, I have a LOT of OOT family, and plan on having an OOT shower therefore, those ladies would not be invited to my NY shower.

anyone who is invited to the 'pre' parties should also be invited to the wedding.

Re: Engagement Party / Bridal Shower Question

The people invited to the engagement party and shower absolutely should be invited to the wedding. However you do not need invite everyone that is invited to the wedding to the engagement party and shower. We kept out engagment party to family, the bridal party and close friends. I am doing the same for my shower.
