Re: A Question for the Winter Brides
My color scheme is red and silver. I think they look amazing together! I was going to do a snowflake theme but now I am not so sure. I definitely am doing red and silver though!

Re: A Question for the Winter Brides
I have no idea. My wedding is four days after Valentine's day so I was thinking maybe a cranberry color. Then I thought sage. Then I thought periwinkle (even though it isn't a winter color). Truth is, I don't think I will pick a color until my BP and I look for dresses and after we pick the dress in the color I like. I can't imagine picking a color and if the dress we all agree upon looks bad because of fabric quality, then its a no go. I mean if I pick sage and the dress I like has a lousy sage, then I'd pick something else. Color doesnt make it or break it for me I guess.

Almost definitely navy blue and silver...we've decided to go away from the Valentine's theme.

Re: A Question for the Winter Brides
Periwinkle is gorgeous. My MOH likes it too but I can see my mom and FMIL hating it. I told them to wear whatever they wanted. They will never be in the same pictures as the bridal party anyway so they dont have to match. With the exception of maybe 1 or 2 pictures, they won't be in pictures with each other either. Why is color so important to the mothers? Why do they have to match each other?

Re: A Question for the Winter Brides
Hey!I found some date twins on this post! Hello 2/18/06 brides!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going with a nice satin cranberry for BM dresses, baby pink bouquet for me (I'm a pink freak) and we will mix in white flowers. So, red, pink and white are my colors...... I think! Plus, the weddings is the weekend of Valentines day...so I needed to incorporate red of course!
P.S. Are you gals paranoid that there is going to be a huge snowstorm? I love February, the winter, and snow (I was born in December)... that is why I booked the winter...but something inside is always thinking of the disaster it would be if there was a huge snowstorm on the wedding day! How do you quiet these thoughts?

Re: A Question for the Winter Brides
I cross my fingers and hope for the best. Honestly, my mother would rather risk a snowstorm than risk an air conditioning system breaking down in the summer. Having a winter wedding also allows us to have more people at less cost per person.

Re: A Question for the Winter Brides
I agree...great prices in winter. Also, WINTER BRIDES.... is anyone putting crystals scattered on the tables for sparkle to go with the winter/icy theme?
I like the idea but I wanted to know if anyone has PICS or if they plan on doing this...
PLEASE RESPOND!
