sort of a wedding..(gift ideas)

a friend of mine is pregnant..and not married. she has been with this guy for 6 years..he is indian...or gianese(spelling???)..his parents want them to get married spiritually or something..i guess its a marriage in their religion..but i know nothing about..but the thing is..my friend told me not to bother going..its nothing big..because she plans on having a wedding next year sometime..but the thing is ..OF COURSE ..im gonna go..but i dont know what kind of gift is appropriate..they are just having a ceremony then food afterwards..im kind of broke with wedding stuff..plus im in 2 other weddings..and that cost $$$ too..does anyone have a suggestion on what to get her? or something sentimental i could give her? im lost..and broke..can anyone suggest something?TIA

how about a throw/blanket from Things Remembered with their names and a saying on it... it could also have the date of their ceremony?

how about a throw/blanket from Things Remembered with their names and a saying on it... it could also have the date of their ceremony?

someone gave us this for our engagement, it has our wedding date on it, i absolutely love it!!! i thought it was such a great gift i bought one for the next friend that got engaged!!

yea. my mom bought my fh and i one for valentines day. it has a bible quote on it w/ our names ... soo nice and it can be displayed anywhere!

i don't have another gift idea, but if you go with that, check your bridal magazines for coupons first - i've found a bunch of 20% off coupons for things remembered in mine.
