what type of cake is your hall providing
i need to know what you guys are getting....the bakery providing our cake told us that we are intitled to a 'b-line' cake; 3 teirs, and each tier is 3 inches tall.. so doing the math, we get a nine inch high cake!
that is soo short, and when i called th bakery they said that the cake i want is an 'a-line' cake, 4 tiers and like 2 feet tall ---
for an additional, and im assuming big charge!
let me know if you are getting the same treatment and that i should calm down, or if i should be mad that i am getting jerked with a cheesy, short cake!!!!!!!!

Re: what type of cake is your hall providing
my hall is providing the cake as part of the PP fee. I am assuming that they will make the cake an appropriate size to the # of guests. but it's a good question to bring up w/them!I don't think that a 200 person wedding would have the same size cake as a 100 person wedding.
you should definitely find out how many people your cake will feed.

The ones pictured on the Watermill site look to be a good size...but I still want to go there and look at their album for more choices

My caterer said that his bakeries can copy any cake I choose from a picture. I have no clue at this point.

My hall can re-create any cake; I'm picking one from their site. And I have seen their cakes (they are known for showing people thier kitchen
) and they're a good size.

appropriate to the number of guests. After all, the more guests, the more you pay!!!!See if they can show you some photos--sopmetimes the smaller cakes can be exquisite.
My hall showed me photos of what they consider to be the 'basic' cakes and I could not believe how gorgeous they were!!!
