Repost from BHB - Finally finished my cardbox...

Finally...after weeks of putting it off...I've finished my cardbox!
Thanks AnniesSS (& Joel) for the idea of ACMoore's wooden plant box!
It's all to keep in line with the fall theme... Hope you like...I do!

We figured we could use it later as a mini ottoman! ...also used the extra fabric to make pillow for our livingroom.

Now onto the next project...hand painted aisle runner....

That is beautiful. Did you carve the stuff on it or is it stencil and paint?

I carved it. I first printed the monogram out...(love that font (Amazone BT) for a monogram!) Then pressed hard on the wood and traced over the letters. The wood is pine so its soft...creates an impression..then carved away with a Dremel (?).
