I hate getting my picture taken.

Is anyone dreading the whole picture taking process at their wedding? I hate myself in pictures so much, plus I am not the type of person that can do poses well at all. It makes me laugh. I went to my engagement session last night and while the pictures I picked looked good, most of them I hate myself in. I look so fat. Is anyone having this problem? If I can just lose like 20 pounds everything would look great. Ever since I met my FH I gained around 15 pounds. I need to exercise, exercise, exercise and someone to push my a$$ to do it. LOL

I hate getting my picture taken also - I don't like my smile and I don't like seeing myself in pictures - I'm also dreading all the time it's going to take, but I want the wedding pictures so I'll just have to pay my dues!

I HATE taking pics also!!! I hate all my bridal shower pics & 99% of my RD pics!!!!
I really liked a few of my engagement pics but hated the rest...
BUT I have to say I love my wedding pics!!!!!
Its so different when it is your wedding. Plus thats why you have fab. hair and makeup people to spoil you!!!

You will look beautiful!!!

I completely feel the same way, which was why one of my top priorities of looking for a photographer was to find one who I would feel comfortable with and would make me laugh.

I hate the feeling of that funky forced smile I get...I do this lip quiver Elvis thing!

You defintiely ahve to find a photogrpaher who amkes you feel comfortable. I don't rally like getting my pic taken either, but if you have a photographer who cna amke you laugh and amke you comfortable, it'll all be ok. My mom never smiles, esp for pics and my sister's wedding photogrpaher had her laughing and smiling all night. He had such a great personality

You've got plenty of time to lose more weight and feel better about yourself for the pics. But looking at your profile pic, I think you look fine!! Don't worry about it and just enjoy yourself!!!

OMG FH HATES

getting his pictures taken for anything! He even tried convince me we didn't need a photographer

I just know the whole experience is going to be dreadful the day of our wedding! I am scared.....

I hate it too!! I am trying to do things to make myself more comfortable:

*invisalign-so I won't be so self concious about crooked smile

*bleaching right before the wedding

*facials so my skin looks good

*booked a fabulous photographer

*as another bride mentioned, good hair & makeup people.

In all honesty, I think you are very pretty and photogenic judging by your profile pic- I certainly wouldn't put you in the 'having to lose 20 pounds' catagory, seriously! Oh, and I agree about hating to take pics- I make the stupidest faces by accident and I know half of my pics at my wedding will have strange faces!

you have plenty of time, try weight watchers my dad lost 57 lbs there, and curves is really good also, you will look beautiful though no matter what!

Oh God... I HATE taking pictures but I gueass we just have to literally grin and bare it. P.S. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your dog!!!( That's his picture right??) My sister wants to get me and FH one for our wedding gift and I really hope she does it!!!

i feel exactly the same way... it is like i am almost planning everything around the way i will look in pictures. I got cosmetic dentistry done on my teeth to fill in tiny gaps that you can only see in pictures. I hate the way i smile, and my nose always looks so huge :(

I HATE it too, I go tomorrow for our engagements photos and hating it. I never think I take nice pictures so that is makin me nuts already
