I hate this JOB....Need to vent

I just hate it here...don't really want to get into specifics because I am on my computer at work and who knows if they could look at this BUT people are just not nice...I hate it sooooo much. I just want a job on Long ISland and I want to get the hell away from NYC Public Schools

I am sorry you hate it. that's too bad. they need teachers that really want to be there, but the way the system is, it's hard to get that. It's a shame for the kids.

I feel your pian I hate this job here as well. I want a job in queens or Long Island but have to get a second car first cuz I can't leave FH without a car when he is home with the baby just in case anything is to happen so that will be after ourwedding so I havet o stick it out another year.

I like teaching but I hate this school...more specifically the principal...she makes me and a lot of other people's lives hell...there are many people who don't want to be here

I hear ya...
I really like my job, and my boss is great.. but I am begining to feel that the promotion rate isn't as fast as I would like to be, and there are some really yuckie people on my team who b*tches too much, the overall morale of the team is sliding.
I might start looking else where very soon....

I hear ya and I def know what you're going through! I hate my job and I really need to get moving on with my career. I'm supposed to be in Education but I'm not in my field right now, it's so tough on LI and I refuse to go into the city. I feel so bad for the kids!!

Kathleen, you are making so sad for you. Just think, its already May 20 so there is just about a month left.

Have you sent out resumes on LI yet? Where in NYC schools are you teaching

That stinks Kathleen. We need good teachers in NYC, especially the outer boroughs, so badly. The only thing I can say is that principals come and go -- but you are the one who the kids will remember. You are the one who will truly shape them.

Word is some of the new teachers may be bumped to another school (me probably) because people are transferring in to my school....

I just hate the school especially the principal...she doesn't even say hello to me when she sees me...I HATE HER SOOO MUCH
