Re: FLower girl dress question
I paid for my flowergirl dress because I knew if I didn't, JT's sister would flake out, and his niece shouldn't miss out just because her mother's a flake

Re: FLower girl dress question
We did because the dress was $350 and I felt terrible having them spend so much.

Re: FLower girl dress question
I didn't because I didn't even get to pick out because my sister in law went out and just did it herself without even asking me what i thought.
She chose a $400 one. I think if you pick a reasonably priced one they should pay for it. But if it is very expensive then you should.

Re: FLower girl dress question
I think the girls parents do, but there is no rule you can't. If your tight, ask her parents if they would mind splitting the cost. Remember its also good for them and their daught to be a flower girl. The pictures, the memories and the pride they will feel seeing their daughter going down the aisle is a benfit to both of them.

Re: FLower girl dress question
I am not paying, they are part of the Bridal party and IMO should pay their own, in fg's situation, it are the parents, but they are the ones who agree to have their child in the BP.i think to pay is VERY generous

Re: FLower girl dress question
I paid for one because her mother was already paying for her MOH dress and her son's Tux.

Re: FLower girl dress question
Well honestly, I asked the parent's of the young children BEFORE I asked the kids. It can be a financial burden on a family and if they couldn't afford to do it, they would say 'no'. This way you do not end up disappointing the child by 'dangling candy' in front of ther faces only to have their parents say no.My FG's are very little. Since they grow so quickly, we (their mothers and I) decided that we will more than likely go to a high end department store (like Nordstrom or Saks) and buy little white poufy dresses closer to the wedding rather than order them. Then we will have extra fabric that will have been ordered from the bridesmaid dress orders to make them each sashes(belts). They will be tied around the dresses as belts in order to make them coordinate with the BP.

Re: FLower girl dress question
holy expensive FG dresses. Her mother is paying for it, but its online, www.flowergirldressesforless.com and its $60. I wouldn't never spend $300 and up on a five year olds dress she'll never wear again. Hell, my dress was only $650.

Re: FLower girl dress question
I planned on paying for the dress (my niece is our flower girl) but my mom paid instead. I think each situation is different. There is no right or wrong answer to this one.

Re: FLower girl dress question
My daughter was a FG in September and we didn't even think of not paying for it. I don't think it's necessary for a bride to have to pay for the dress. JMOWelcome New Vendors
