WHAT GIFT WOULD U GET A GUY FOR HIS COMBO BDAY (30 yrs old) / GRAD?

I'm stumped here! what does one get a great gift for a practical-ish guy? he's my brother who's turning 30 in june adn graduating soon??? he's a computer guy, socialable when he likes, tries to dress nicely but still lacks in that dpt., he goes to the gym, he's a health nut but drinks occasionally, hmm... what else? i just can't think of anything! help me! (no pen, pls =P ) i'll spend maybe $200 or so. depends on what it is, of course. help me.

for my wedding, i decided to get him a suit. although he appreciated it i found the experience somewhat difficult. but i'll keep it in mind.

as for the ipod, he already has an mp3 player which he's proud of. plus i got my younger bro (recently) an ipod. i would like to change it up a little =)

anything else? or should i just give him money? but i was hoping to give him an actual gift of some kind.

Maybe a $200 GC to men's wearhouse?

ETA: Ok you got him a suit. I would think money. Or some kind of electronic gadget, or something leather? I know that helps a lot. I'm just trying to think of 'mature man' kind of gifts, you know, now he's moving up in the world, graduating, turning 30.

Is he into sports?

Think of something you know he would never splurge on for himself?

Example, my FH loves fishing and has wanted a 'boat' for a long time, so FIL's and I are putting money together to get him a small two seater, about $400 at sports authority..

Does he like to shop? Gift certificates are great for this.. The Simon Card (a visa debit card you put money on) is great for this because he can use it at any store. You can get them online I think the website is www.simoncard.com or at Roosvelt Fields mall.

hmm.. he's not a video game person but the wallet sounds like a great idea! and i'll start it off by putting a dollar in it! ahaha! i'm really liking this wallet idea! maybe i should take a look to see if he's in need of a nice and new wallet. thank you!!!!!!!

Subscription to a magazine that caters to his interests? Also if he's into baseball..some tix..Mets/Yanks.

What kind of work does he do? DH has a nice leather folio that he loves - it has a pad of paper in it, and it has his initials engraved on the front. He takes it to meetings so he has something to jot notes in.
That's one small thing you could get your brother...

And this may not be the greatest graduation gift idea, but DH is totally in love with his Oakley's, and they're a pretty cool gift (but pricey - $300). He wears them to play sports. Your brother could always return them if he doesn't like them and get a different style/brand.
I'm just trying to think outside the box!

that is a great idea! but i think he's one of those guys who would rather have something he could have for a while... he's not so into concerts.. sports games.. IF the olympix were happening now i think i would get him a ticket to that but other than the olympics.. i dun think he's too into sporting events.

i agree w/the wallet idea. i bought FH this really nice gucci wallet and i believe it came out to just under 200 dollars.

Justshir... Coach has an excellent billfold/money clip and maybe you could find a complimentary folio like Ann suggested... or get a full size wallet and put tickets inside...
