outdoor wedding and unity candle?
I was told by my minister that if it is windy outside the candle will blow out. He showed me a floating candle that was enclosed in glass. It was very pretty. Is anyone having this type of candle and if so where did you buy it?Thanks.

Could you put your unity candle inside of a hurricane glass enclosure?I have no idea, just figured I would throw that into the mix.

Re: outdoor wedding and unity candle?
Mine told us, that we could ATTEMPT IT, and if it dosen't work, then after the ceremony, we can go inside and he will do the blessing with it there.I said 'if that thing dosen't light, ALL my guests better get up and circle around the candle, b/c I'M LIGHTING IT!'

We're just putting ours in a hurricane. Crate and Barrel has some nice ones.

Re: outdoor wedding and unity candle?
My Minister suggested doing a Unity Sand Ceremony instead....and we fell in love with the idea.you have 3 vases...the left one is engraved with the Brides 1st initial and filled with white sand. The one on the right is engravedwith the grooms 1's initial and black sand. The middle is monogrammed and left empty.
There is a small cone that goes in the middle vase...the bride and groom then pour the sand into the middle vase..the concept is that once the sand is mixed...it can never be seperated.
I order my vases from Patchogue FantsyLand...Im so excited...can't wait to pick it up...the vases I choose all inter lock....they look so pretty.
