Hilton Garden Inn (and other hotels near Westbury Manor)

So I wanted to block rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn... all of FH's guests will be OOT, so I was looking to book at least 20 rooms.
We tried going there twice and were told no one was there. (they were both weekends). We tried calling, and got a message that the sales person was on vacation until 5/31..fine. SO we call on 6/1.. get a voicemail, leave a message and no one calls us back. Try calling again later and get the same VM. We still have not gotten a phone call.
I am fed up, and am going to take my business elsewhere. Does anyone know what other hotels are in the vicinity of Westbury Manor, and if they are available to help us on the weekends?

We had the same experience with HGI (we must be calling around the same time). We also looked at Fox Hollow and the Wingate. We are going to book with the Wingate.

Re: Hilton Garden Inn (and other hotels near Westbury Manor)

I am having the same problem. I called 2 days ago and still have not gotten a phone call back. I have rooms blocked at the Wingate Inn but they only had 15 rooms left for the date I was looking for so I needed more that why I am trying to book more at the Hilton Garden Inn. The people at the Wingate Inn are soooooo nice and very helpful. I would suggest that if you want to block rooms there for your wedding to book as soon as possible because they said that every weekend in this summer they are booked. Good Luck!

Re: Hilton Garden Inn (and other hotels near Westbury Manor)

I went on a Sunday and as most hotels the sales person is not there on the weekends. They said M-F 9-5...Ok...I work then too! How the heck do these people expect us to get there.... Anyway...I was lucky enough to get out early on a Friday so I stopped by. We blocked our rooms that night.
We also looked at the Holiday Inn same situation (funky musty smell in there), Red Roof Inn was the most accomodating, but not as nice inside as the others and of course Wingate, but they're completely full the weekend we're getting married - Hofstra's Homecoming weekend.
