Fun bridal shower activities?

I haven't been to many bridal showers (two, I think) and I'm in the midst of planning one. I need fun and creative ideas, if anyone has them (which I'm sure you do )

Re: Fun bridal shower activities?

i will be honest with you... i orig. thought bridal bingo was cheesy but the past two showers i went to had it and it was really fun! It serves a good purpose of keeping everyone captivated to the opening of the gifts...which at time can be very boring....another activity that was fun was each table received a few rolls of toilet paper. Each table nominated a person from each table and they made her a bride out of the toilet paper....the activity was timed at 5 minutes..when time was up the bride chose the best table and a prize was given....

hope that helps!

Re: Fun bridal shower activities?

This is kinda of crazy, but at my moms baby shower (many years ago) she and the girls were so bored they ordered a stripper. LOL Hey it worked!

Re: Fun bridal shower activities?

I think bridal shower bingo is great and for my SIL's shower last weekend we had bridal scratch off tickets - they went over HUGE everyone loved it!!!

We had an advice jar with a poem and little cards for people to fill out..

there are other games too like how well does the bride know the groom?
and the one that has a list of different things and whoever has the most of the things on the list in their pocketbook wins a prize..

If you do a search you'll find alot of threads about all this stuff.

Re: Fun bridal shower activities?

Games are a must at at showers! Some big hits at showers I have been to were:

1. Buy a kitchen timer, and set it for every 15-20 mins. When the timer goes off, whose ever gift the bride is opening gets a prize.

2. Quiz games are always fun - sort of like the guests against the bride to see who knows the groom best. Whoever gets the most questions right, wins. You can also reverse it, and play how well you know the bride as well.

Hope these help!

Re: Fun bridal shower activities?

hi! i'm from the 05 board, but i just HAD to post for this! two weeks ago was my shower and they did some AWESOME things.... everyone had soo mcuh fun... here were the two best...

1) my MOH sister made 'poppers'. she took empty toilet paper rolls and wrapped them in pretty wrapping paper. inside, she put funny wedding/marriage quotes and jokes that she found online. everyone got one, and when i opened that persons gift, they had to unwrap their popper and read the joke to everybody. it was GREAT! and really kept everyone laughing while i was opening the presents... MUCH better and more unique than bridal bingo

2) they made a video with my fiance. they asked him a bunch of questions like where our first date was, where our first kiss was, my favorite food, etc..... then they videotaped his answers. THEN at the shwer, they asked me the question and i answered then they played my FIs answer on the video sooo cute to see his expressions while he was trying to remember stuff

hope i helped! FM me if ya have any questions have fun!

Re: Fun bridal shower activities?

we just had my best friend's shower this past weekend. i am her MOH and planned the shower along with two other girls, mostly. we video-taped her fiance and asked him questions about himself and their relationship and then asked her the same at the shower. it was great! every time she got a question right, she got a peanut M&M and each time she was wrong, she had to put a piece of bubblicious gum in her mouth. it created a lot of laughs. good luck...i know exactly how you feel with the planning!
