UGH!!! My FMIL is SUCH a pain in the A**!!!!! (Long vent...sorry)

Many of you know we recently changed the date of our wedding and I made sure FH told his mom (I knew she'd be exstatic b/c she SO did not like the wedding was going to be on a Thurs and she would ahve to get up at 5am the next morning). So I was there and she was happy to hear that it was on a Sunday and a little earlier in the day. She asks what time the church will be, I say 2. And makes me go thru a 'timeline' of the day...

-Church from 2-3(the latest) in Queens
-Pics @ church 3-3:30
She then asks if we are going to a park for pics, I said yes, if we have time and if the weather is nice. Side Note: park I want to go to is Forest Park which is 5 min from the church.
-Cocktail Hr starts at 5.

She asks if there is anywhere to take pics outside at Jericho Terrace. I tell her yes, then try explaining the grounds to her. I say there are flowers, a little bridge, waterfall, gazebo, etc. She says 'is it anything like Westbury Manor?' (which is where FH sister was married...5 yrs ago) I explain it's like WM, but not as big or lavish. Her BIGGEST thing is not to miss ANY of the CH, she wants ALL pics (w/ her) to be DONE before the CH. FH and I want the same thing, and we both have made it crystal clear that the photographer is WELL aware that we want all posed shots done before the CH.

Then...
Her:'I don't think you'll have enough time for pictures'
Me: 'I think so'
Her: 'I don't think so'

I left it at that. When FH's brother was married in May '04, is mother CONSTANTLY compared EVERYTHING to his sister's wedding (which was 4 yrs earlier). She is doing that to me now! AND she is comparing it to FH's brother's wedding!! She said they did not have enough time for pics before the CH, you know why...B/C they had the ceremony at the hall and the CH starts right after the ceremony!!!!!

Awwwwww....As if you don't have enough stress, you have to deal with this.

It's your day so do what makes you happy. It sounds to me like you have everything in order.
Try not to let her stress you out too much.

ohhh hun i know your pain........But i learned how ignore & say well we are gonna do what we wanna do reguardless of what u or anyone says...Cuz baby its our wedding & it's our dec's......Hope all works out,i know it will great!

Ughh....sorry that you are going through this...I hope that all works out. Just listen and learn to ignore. That's my best advice to you. As some of the other girls said, it's your special day. You have to plan and do as you wish. Don't worry about what every one else is saying. YOu could go nuts!! Good luck and take it easy. It's not worth getting yourself upset over!! Life is too short for that!

Some inlaws just can't admit that they are ever wrong (believe me, I know!) Good luck dealing with your FMIL! Herbal teas, deep breaths and LOTS of bathroom breaks get me through trips to the FILs! (they must think I have a blatter problem cause whenever they get on my case about the wedding, I suddenly NEED to pee...haha)!
