Music Bands.. Please Help!
My fiance and I have looked at a few bands- To name a few... We've seen
Code Bleu
Extreme
Heart and Soul
Vision
and a few others..
Of those 4 - we liked Code Bleu initially, then after seeing them again, we didn't think they were as lively..
We both liked Extreme, but my fiance liked them better... (I felt as though something else was off)
Heart and Soul had an amazing amount of enery, but my fiance thought something was off with their sound..
Vision we did not like..
So that leaves us at this moment very confused.
I want to look at some Steve Scott Orchrestra Bands, Star Light Orchestras, Hank Lane Bands, and Creations..
Of all of these bands, how on earth do we choose one? We are obviously looking for a great band 8-9 pieces, that have lots of energy w/ great sound..
Comments, opinions, etc... Thanks :)

Energy? You want to check out Times Square Orchestra, Faze4 Bands (play by play the original, etc) and if you have budgeted a lot, NYCswing...just my opinion :)

I dont know those bands, but you should check out The Naked Truth Band...I booked them and the guy who runs it is a friend of my family. Great people, very talented! Try nakedtruthband.com..Good luck

I also don't know most of those - Renegade came heavily recommended to us, and we loved them. They might be worth checking out - you can preview them on the web at www.liparamount.com I think... good luck!

if you are looking for energy, definately check out "The Projekt"
They play everything from 50's to rap! They have a play list on their website but it is not up to date

I highly recommend our band - Paris which is part of Soundcheck Entertainment. As far as advice - we looked at so many bands. See how in tune they are and see if you close your eyes if they really sound like the artist. Also look around and see how everyone else at the showcase likes them. Are people moving in their seats? That is a really good sign. Once we narrowed it down we brought a few more people with us to hear them perform. Good Luck!

We looked at sooo many bands as well and booked THE Projekt. They play every type of song (some bands don't play the newer songs) and they have two great female singers and the lead male sings everything. We also looked at NYC Swing and they were great but between $12-15K

For energy, I would definitely agree with some others and recommend the Projekt...and also Arcadia from LI Paramount. Both of these bands played a lot of different styles of music and had full dance floors the entire time.

Check out Time Piece. They are AMAZING!!!!
I have seen them at a wedding as well as at Bridal Shows.
They are high energy and they did all music from Rock to Country to Pop to classics.....

I looked at a ton of bands too, but we went with Soul Revival. We saw them at a friends wedding last summer and loved them. I wanted to look at others just to compair, and in the end, I felt they were the best! Their website is www.soulrevivalband.com

My cousin has a band they are really good they have alot of varity in music they play at alot of LI places so you can check them out there and then set up an appointment to see there wedding videos they do alot of weddings. They get booked up very quick. Doesn't hurt to see them.

I'd check prices with everyone cuz some of the bands really negotiate depending on the date and time... Your date and time doesn't look like a Saturday night in July so, You can really deal with them and hold your line.
I guarantee you no band was $5,000 cheaper that what I paid NYC Swing.
And don't avoid a band cuz of it's name - We had NYC Swing and didn't have a single swing song.

I would never recommend Creations. Half the band was replacements at our wedding, including lead female singer. Kind of hard when all your special songs are sung by the lead and only female singer. I would never recommend them!
