Recent weddings at Hamlet Wind Watch or Larkfield Manor?
My fiancee and I are deciding between Larkfield Manor and Hamlet Wind Watch. For us there are positive and negative things about both places. We left a deposit at Larkfield because we LOVE the food and we went to a wedding there that was very good and the $ was unbeatable. The reason for the price was a change in management the week we booked and the fact that they are giving the place a 'face lift' seemed like a positive at the time but with time going by and the past couple of weeks we didn't see any work being done we are leaning towards possibly doing it at the Hamlet.1. Has anyone been to weddings at either recently and have feedback (both positive and negative)?
2. Are there any nice hotels and/or picture locations near Larkfield Manor in East Northport?
This is my first post and I'm a very confused girl

I am getting married at Larkfield in July. I went up there last week (or two weeks ago) and they told me that the new landscaping was starting that day....i drove by on this sat and there is new landscapingI was also told that they are getting new carpeting.....when I drove by it looked like the same carpet, but I am going there tomorrow to do my final menu, so I will let you know what they say about it. good luck!

i was at the larkfield manor about a year ago. regarding pics, you can easily go to northport park, down in the village. tons of pics! the food was good, but what i didnt' like was the claustrophobic feeling i got from the main room. the ch was outside and nice but the main party was in a room with absolutely NO WINDOWS and personally, i don't like that. but that is just me and in all honesty, the only thing i don't like about it.

Thanks soo much
That's the only thing that I don't like either...is the shape of the room and where we will be sitting as well as the fact that it's very dark because there are no windows. However I haven't heard one person who didn't love the food or have a great time there.JacnRob729 - I've been to one wedding there as well ... it was in the smaller room but everything was great, especially the food which is why my fiancee and I looked there.
Good luck with your wedding I'm sure it will be wonderful! I'm looking forward to any and all feedback that you would be willing to share
