I'm getting married 10/1 and scheduled my first fitting for 7/22. I was origionally planning to start my fittings the first week of August, but decided to give myself a little more time just in case.

I'm always in favor of earlier. Did you give the salon your actual wedding date?

I had originally given my bridal salon a wedding date that was a month early, so they have scheduled my first fitting for 7/11.

I'm debating over whether to tell them it is actually the beginning of Oct. just so that I don't have to pick my dress up so long before the actual wedding. I don't know where I will keep it for a month! Has anyone done that? Was the salon annoyed with you?

I originally told them August 6th...when the dress came in I told them the date had changed to September 4th. I can hold the dress for two weeks. FH's mom was thinking about running a poll across the spare room to hand the dress in the center so nothing happens to it. She did that for her wedding...how cute is she?!

Thanks girls..I made the appt. for July 23rd. I tried to lie about my wedding date , then I couldn't think of one fast enough (didn't have a calendar and wasn't sure of the weekend dates lol). Now I am excited !!!

For my 9/17 wedding I am going for my first fitting sometime in August. My dress happens to fit almost perfectly so they just have ot make one minor alteration and put the bustle on.

My wedding is Oct 1st and I'm planning on scheduling my 1st fitting for about a month before. I'm hoping to lose a little bit of weight in the next 2 months and don't want the 1st fitting to be a waste of time. I figure a month before is generally where i'll be at, weight-wise.

My date is 9/17. The bridal shop told me besides a tiny hem I pretty much fit into the dress perfectly so I don't need to schedule my first fitting anywhere before August 1st.

7/21 - they wanted me to come in on 7/5, but I begged to go later.

I'm the middle of October and I'm going to make it the middle of August. My mother will be over for a week then and hasn't seen my dress yet, so that will be a good time to go
