Can anyone recommend a doctor in the Stony Brook area?
Any general doctor recommendations in the Stony Brook area? TIA.

I went to a family practice in St James...DO NOT go there. They are right near the St James firehouse---these were the dr's who told me when I had tonsilitis, that it wasn't strep and therefore couldn't give me ANYTHING. And I had a 103 fever and was at the office 3 times in one week.
I went to an ENT on my own.....

i know a great doctor in Pt Jeff Station... is that close enough to Stony Brook for you??

I go to Dr. O'Brien in St. James. He's on Lake Avenue.Feel better!

If you want a doc in the box... someone who will see you right away you can try:
Dr. Bleecher

Dr. Bleecher is ok... he has been my doc for a while... i want to change over to Dr. A. though she is better to have as a regular doctor... hope that helps!

Weelllllll I wound up seeing a resident, not a doctor, who was at 181 Belle Meade Road. He was not very good at all.
