ok- remember the bride i told you all about who sent the small 'card' in the invitation about NO presents because your presence is enough..BUT they are accepting monetary contributions!

WELL- after discussing the issue with many of you...and even Ron are realizing it was rude, I came to the conclusion that although rude, it did make sense in some way since they are moving to Italy

YUP!!! It is a shower invitation! SOOO- if she is only accepting monetary contributions for the wedding cause they are moving to italy how in the world does she have the nerve to have a shower?????????

the wedding is july 29th and the shower which is not a surprise is on July 9th. I know I am not a B lister they just do things very late in the game... LUCKILY i have a wedding on the 9th so I dont have to go, but I couldnt help but share the update for everyone who discussed with me last time!!!!!!!

Bridal showers are not usually hosted by the bride. Someone else is probably hosting the shower for her. And, what's wrong with her having a bridal shower? Every bride deserves to have a shower...

It sounds to me like you're upset about something else because it doesn't make much sense to me that you would care so much about this person's wedding, unless something else was going on. If that's the case, just decline the invite. Don't let yourself get too wrapped up in the details of what this woman is or isn't doing for her wedding. Don't worry about it!

I'm speaking from experience on this one. I recently had a former co-worker invite me to her wedding at the last minute. She had never even mailed the RSVP to *my* wedding. At first, I was actually going to go to her wedding. But, I was so wrapped up into analyzing her etiquette faux paus, that all I was really doing was trashing her wedding. Finally, I realized, 'why do I care. I don't HAVE to go. Attendance is NOT required' I mailed in my decline and that was the end of it. (well, at least until she called me demanding an explanation for why I wasn't attending).

she is planning the shower with her mom and the rsvp is with her name too
yes she included registry cards

yes every bride deserves a shower, however she specifically asked people NOT to give them presents because they are moving to Italy...I just found it odd
