Pre-Cana is FINALLY finished! Yay for us!

So last night was FH's and mine last night of Pre-Cana.. and boy were we excited for it to be over!

I have to say that we had a great bunch of couples, all extremely personable and easy to talk with. The two lead couples who ran the group were amazing! Although we will miss them, we really are happy to get our Sunday nights back.

And they gave each of us a gift of a wedding prayer and a bridal guardian angel to pin on the bok. The ladies were crying giving them to us, cause they said that we were the best group of couples that they had seen in a long time. And that they would miss not seeing us..... They really made the experience unique and worthwhile. Just wanted to share

Congrats Erin It is so much nicer to have Sunday's back!

Very nice parting gift that they gave you guys!! They gave us gold crosses with rings intertwined in them!

that's great! i have to schedule ours soon...i think we will be doing the 'engaged encounters weekend' this way we get it over with in one fell swoop, but i am not sure yet.

glad to hear you had such a positive experience though= that's very heartening!

uh i just got off the phone with the nun, this is going to be such a problem cause fi works and they want us to pay 250.00 for a one day 9-5 precanna......umm RIGHT!

Holy Crow! That is a lot of money! Ours only cost $50 and it was only four weeks. I guess they make you pay for the convenience... I hate that!

CONGRATS!!!!

We are waiting till FH gets out of the marines in august as to avoid missing any sessions.

I think the next one is October and it is 3 fri nights and a mass ... not to bad.

I know... we are paying this much to do pre-cana for two days from 9-5pm in July. FI works in the city so it's kind of hard to do the weekly thing so we had no option....

We went through our church, St. Bernards in Levittown. Usually I am not a fan of them, but they saved me a buck. And since not that many couples get married there anymore (only about 25 weddings A YEAR?!) I think they are just excited to have some couples at all!

It's not cheap, but wow that is alot of money. We had to pay $175 which was for 2 Sundays (8:30-4 and 4-8:30).
It sure is a relief to have that out of the way ahead of time, we did ours in March.

Congrats Erin! I still have my Interfaith Pre-Cana to go through, probably early next year.
Two of my cousins got married at St. Bernards, and they both have been married since I was a little girl-- so that is a very good sign!

Thats great!! Congrats on getting it done!! I kind of wish FH and I were doing it in a group becasue it takes the pressure off of the individual couples. we have to do it with US and the Deacon from the church. The whole idea of pre-cana makes me uncomfortable

That's so nice! We just started ours last Sunday and we seem to have a great bunch of couples (and another Carlyle couple, yeah!) I hope our experience is as good as yours.
