Invite sister-in-law's mother?
My own mother and I have a dilemma: Do we invite my brother's wife's mother? What is the proper ettiquette? We are not close with her. She has a grown son who lives with her, and she also has a boyfriend. If we do invite her, it would just be her and her boyfriend, right? Help!

We are inviting all of our siblings' in-laws. Not sure what the proper ettiquette is though-sorry.

My family always invites the parents of in-laws. We have yet to have any we don't like.

We're probably inviting my brothers and sisters in laws too.we like them.
I agree on just inviting her and her boyfriend though.

Re: Invite sister-in-law's mother?
I'd invite her & her bf. I'm inviting my bro's wife's mom & she lives in Texas, but she's so sweet. She'll also be a help to my SIL w/ the baby (who's in the bp).

Re: Invite sister-in-law's mother?
We're not inviting my SIL's parents. My mom wasn't invited to her bro's wedding, so it makes sense. Plus they're upstate, I really don't think they'd make the trip anyway. Besides, we're not that close.

I think if you are close to them or see them, then maybe you should. We did, but we see them at family functions and we like them
