my sisters baby shower is this week- need help with a particular gift..

I'm putting together a little gift bag for my sister- since everything at the shower is for the little one I figured I would pamper her and get her a little gift bag.

So far im putting in:

mani/pedi gift certif
her favorite lotion
comfy slippers for the hospital

what else could I get her? I want to get a bunch of little things... any ideas?

I wanted to get her an outfit for when she is inthe hospital but im not sure what size to get post pregnancy??

any ideas or tips? thanks

oh I know! A pregnancy massage!!!! They have special massages for pregnant women and they are lovely Im told!

Maternity Bras...because u can never find them when you actually need them....

thats a great idea except she just had gotten one:

This is what I have so far:

comfy slippers
few pairs ofcotton underwear- i heard you go through a lot during the hospital stay
2 comfy loose shirts
chapstick
hard candies
milk lotion and shower gel
hair bands
mani/pedi gift certificate
robe
pajama set
Dove Massage body wash

I am going ot add the shampoo and conditioner..

If there is anything else you think of anyone, please let me know! Thanks so far for all of your ideas!

Oooh I know I know I know.

Seriously, I had Gabe in August but with the epi and being in labor for some reason my feet were freeeeeeeeezing and the nurse told me it was normal. I would have loved to have had warm fuzzy socks (with grips on the bottom for walking to the bathroom etc)

Oooh Also, I dont think they let you use cell phones in the hospital. They let people call into my room but they wouldnt let us call out long distance for some reason without a calling card and when we ran out the door we had $O

So maybe a calling card in case?

a calling card is a good idea sine some hospitals don't let you make long distance phone calls. I know in LIJ they only let you use 718, 212, 516 and 917 area codes I have family in the 631 area code and I couldn't call them.

I would also include a disposable camera to take pictures of the baby after he/she is born the nurses will take the pictures for you when they are weighing the baby and pictures of her and her DH with the baby for the first time.

A towel
a pillow the hospital pillows aren't that comfy.
magazines or a book

Asdumb as this sounds.. if she has long enough hair.. Pony tail holders... When I was in labor, I had a claw clip, and it hurt so bad I chucked it across the room... I had to use a rubber band until someone gave me a scrunchie... Tell her to keep it in her purse or the 'hospital bag'... Good Luck!

the bag was a hit!!! she loved it and was so surprised!!
i did get her comfy warm socks; the calling card is a great idea.
