21st Century todays bride

Apparantly FH and I won a contest...from signing up for someting online.
We have to go to Huntington at this houswares warehouse for 90 minutes, tell them what we think about their products..then we get a 2 night hotel accomidation at a choice of 15 locations around the country, a $500 to this store online or 40% off at their store.
Anyone know about this?????
Thanks!

Re: 21st Century todays bride

i've had that call also and told them what i thought of their 'offer'..

think of it as like a timeshare offer. You have to go listen to all their sales pitches, and they can be pretty annoying - and then you get a little something out of it. Remember, nothing is free, so if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!

JMO of course, but i wouldn't waste my time.

Re: 21st Century todays bride

we went and hey tried to sell u these pots that are outrageously priced.....then if u stay for the whole thing and deny everythign they give u a 2 night stay at a hotel with a list of them with blackout dates and a 500 gc to an online store of pure crap. It was a 1 1/2 presentation....i dont relaly think it was worth it. we are using the 2 night hotel at AC..however it hink the hotel will suck and is no where near the boardwalk lol

i dont think ti is worth the time.

Re: 21st Century todays bride

I've 'won' that package 3 or 4 times already!

I think if do sit through the sales pitch you do get vouchers for a 2 night hotel stay, that much is legitimate, but it's very higyh pressure and I really resent the fact that they lie and say it's a 'contest', and if you tell them you already ahve pots and pans or already live together, just like magic you're no longer the *big winner*

Re: 21st Century todays bride

I've never even been to a bridal show and we got that call yesterday! All of our vendors were friends of the family, so the only places that I can think of that sold my # out are here or david's bridals because we literally didn't use any professional vendors.

Re: 21st Century todays bride

I love this board, so I'd never leave, the people on here are what makes it what it is, but when I signed up, out of curiosity, I made my name Melissa Z. instead of just Melissa, and I have gotten a few spam-typed e-mails to melissa z. instead of just my regular name, so I am thinking that they sell our e-mail addresses. It's sad because it's a great site but it isn't going ot make me leave unless it got really really bad.
