can i book hair/makeup before a trial?

should i lock the date for my wedding without doing a trial first????

my wedding is a yr away - i dont have a dress, veil, headpiece - so is it bad to book w.o the trial (they are very popular on this website) and would be upset to not have the ones i see others love soo much..

Re: can i book hair/makeup before a trial?

I wouldn't - there are a LOT of different vendors out there to choose from and even if a more popular one is booked, you will still have a host to choose from!
When I had my first trial, I didn't have my particular tiara or veil yet so I borrowed from an already married friend, just to see how the general look would be. I think it's important to have your dress already and bring a pic so the stylist has an idea of what your look will be.

If you want to save the date I think it's only like $20 or something. Even if you lose the $, it's only $20!

If it gives you piece of mind I would say go ahead. It's sounds like something I would do!

Re: can i book hair/makeup before a trial?

Most reputable vendors won't book a trial if they aren't available for your date. At the trial, you can then decide if you want them to hold the date or not.
