POLL: Appropriate for a Black-tie Optional Hamptons wedding?

Or should I just go with a plain black strapless knee length dress? I'm just not sure if the color is ok for that type of a wedding...

(You can't really see the bottom - it's that kerchief-y material with different length bottoms. I'm not explaining it well AT ALL but it's a BCBG dress so the bottom is similar to most of theirs that are out right now.)

I think it's absolutely appropriate. It's the Summer and that dress is very suitable.

Its def cool for a daytime wedding, but a nightime i would dress it up with fancy shoes and jewelry

Oh, Oh - the dress is definitely fancy enough (it's silk charmeusse with beading). It's really the color I'm concerned with. I promise, it's definitely a formal dress.

Eileen, that's a GORGEOUS dress...I would MOST CERTAINTLY wear it to that wedding! Black smlack. Go with the pretty color!

I think that its fine for a black tie optional wedding. I think that most people will be dressed in similiar outfits.

I agree. Black tie in the summer is very relaxed. I went to a wedding last weekend and wore a strapless - short laundry dress with a funky design and was not underdressed at all!

I think it's perfect for a formal affair in the 'Hampton's' during the summer. They tend not to be as stuffy as people think. The color is perfect for summer and looks beautiful on you!
