Is anyone going with Black BM Dresses?

If so, What theme are you using? I'm torn since I'm getting married in the Fall. I really love the whole Fall theme, but I'm not sure if the colors would go with black and white.

I could go with red roses and then totaly base the theme on a formal affair, but I'm not sure if that's what I want to do.

Please give advice!!

I was going to go with black originally, but changed my mind (actually, my FH insisted that he didn't want black dresses). I'm also going with a fall theme and my BP's dresses are wine color... and gorgeous!

WOW! The black BM gowns are pretty and they look great with red flowers. Go for it if you like it! It looks amazing!

There is a couple of reasons why I went with black BM dresses (There is a little white on the dress).

My FH's sisters are a bit older and a bit more endowed than my sisters (3). I just felt that I couldn't put them in a Pink or green hue. I wanted to make sure that they were comfortable; So I went with black.

I'm also a huge fan of black; So it kind of fit!!

Anyway, I'm sure your BM dresses are gorgeous and good luck!!!

We are. I had a huge debate with the BM flowers. We ended up going with purple, mango & dark rose colors for their bo-k's. They will be several different flowers (roses, callas, etc) I'm not explaining it well, but they looked really pretty. It's sort of bright versions of pastel colors.

My girls dresses are mostly black. They just have light pink spaghetti straps, which turn into piping down the front of the dress. I'm also getting married in the fall, and I'm doing a whole pink and black theme, as well as a monogram theme.

My BM are wearing black too, and they are carrying a mixture of black magic and bright red roses.

I wanted something they can wear again and that will flatter all of them, since they are all different heights and shapes.

I am in august and doing black, my the BM dresses have pink them too only because it is august I did need to break up the darkness. Black is elegant and everyone loves how they look in black so it makes things much easier. good luck!!

My BM's are wearing long black dresses and the bouquets are a combination of black magic (dark red) roses, burgundy glamelias (some sort of hybrid flower of camellia and gladiolus, i think), and some other purple-ish flower.

so basically - dark red, burgundy and purple I had no idea what I wanted but the combination looked pretty.

I love reading more people are doing black BM dresses. I have gotten numerous looks from people after telling them I was using black BM dresses.

Me too!!! I think it is a very elegant look and I love the way the flowers pop off the black dresses - PLUS they can definitely wear it again - not just say that they will
