What is/was your favorite part of wedding planning??

Was it dress shopping?? Looking at hall? deciding on flowers? etc.

This may sounds really cheesy but the favorite part of my planning has been being able to bond with my mom. Right in the middle of planning everything she got diagnosed with leukemia, a shock to us all, but planning the wedding has given her a much needed happy distraction...It is a way for us to be together and not have to worry about all of her health problems constantly we can worry about wedding details . This may or may not make sense but it is what I will never forget of all of my planning memories.

Right in the middle of planning everything she got diagnosed with leukemia, a shock to us all, but planning the wedding has given her a much needed happy distraction...It is a way for us to be together and not have to worry about all of her health problems constantly we can worry about wedding details . That was the nicest thing I have ever read- I lost my Mom last summer to cancer- and I wish I had her to help me- It's great that you realized this now- Good luck to your Mom and your family.

The flowers, table decoration and decor. I am in LOVE with my flowers and working on table linens and decor of the room is so much fun for me.

ETA: The other favorite of wedding planning is being on this site day and night. If I wasn't engaged I would have never met such awesome people.

I think it would have to be shopping for my dress.. It was fun looking at the nice dresses.. Everything else was just sales pitches. I always had this idea in my head of what type of dress I would wear and when I finally found it, it was lovely. Also my tiara.. I just showed up at Barron's looked in the case and was like, that's it!

wearing my dress & feeling like a princess

ok really - EVERYTHING - i had charts for the table names linked to a base of the names. LOL. I enjoyed ALL the little details, searching for & seeing it come to fuition

did not like - trying to get BP together to get stuff done

I had a really wonderful time and was fortunate overall. The only problems were my dress alterations and here and there, interpersonal problems with certain people.

Meeting you girls!

Going thru the planning with everyone has been such a blessing. Part of the reason I was so against having a wedding in the first place was b/c I didn't have a BP, and my mom was/is not involved. I was really expecting it to be AWFUL, and I could not have been more wrong. Not only will I have my wedding day to look back on and enjoy, but I will have the memory of these two years with you ladies.

I loved trying on gowns....it was fun!

I hated picking out invites, and doing the guest list. Also I HATED registering.

I know its not part of actual 'planning' but its part of the process.......

Choosing the flowers. I think it was the one area I knew something about, and felt confident selecting on my own. Oddly enough, I didn't enjoy looking for my dress much at all--I'm not a big fan of shopping for clothing.
