these are similar to the scroll invites I am thinking of doing. what would you think if you received one like this

I'm honestly not sure what I would think. I know at the very least I would think 'Wow, that's really different' but nothing more than that. I wouldn't think anything negative. I will say though, I'm just not sure I would go with something like that, but if you love them - GO FOR IT!!! It's your wedding!!

I did silk scroll invitations ( not the same as those) and got such great feedback on them!!! EVERYONE commented on how nice and classy and original they were!!

I think it's a very cool idea. I would just make sure that you are able to read the writing on that paper. We received a save the date from someone on natural type paper with flower petals and stuff in it and it was really difficult to read.

Honestly I LOVE them. They are super unique - which I think is great. Where are they from? If I received that I know I would say 'OMG, so cute. It is like a little scroll'

They are cute and they are definitely different.....not your everyday invitation

If money is no object.........and not an issue, and/or you would rather not splurge on anything else.......then ABSOLUTELY order them.

thanks for your input. I appreciate it. normally I wouldn't go for these right away either, but we are incorporating a Shakespearean theme into the wedding, since I am a huge fan of the Bard, and we happen to be getting married on his birth/death day (he was born and died on the same day) so I looked up some ideas about weddings in his time period and came up with these.

I really like them. I would think 1) that's original and 2) that it would be a fancy wedding.

I know that Backinneyork looked into getting them from some company in India and they came in the THE most gorgeous little boxes. The only question I had was where to put the RSVP card unless it could be folded or scrolled.

I think they're perfect for weddings at castles or mansions as well. Or mansion-esque type halls

In that case, definitely do the scroll theme.

BTW, I just came back from visiting his birthplace while on our honeymoon. I was in the room where he was born
