Re: anyone getting cups sewn into their dress?

I'm having cups swen into mine and am going to my first fitting tomorrow. I can let you know how it works... From what the salon told me I do not need a bra in addition to the cups.

Re: anyone getting cups sewn into their dress?

I actually wore both - had cups sewn in and wore a long-line bra. My seamstress suggested that I have the cups sewn in as well, it keeps the shape of the gown.

Re: anyone getting cups sewn into their dress?

I am getting cups sewn in to hold the shape of my boobs.. since I have a corset dress and big boobies they kinda smush a bit so I want the cups for shaping purposes.

Re: anyone getting cups sewn into their dress?

I have no choice. There is no undergarment made that would be appropriate for my dress since it is virtually backless. I have to be held up somehow, so cups have to sewn in. Also, the fabric is silk and would show EVERY line underneath.

Re: anyone getting cups sewn into their dress?

I had cups sewn & did not wear any undergarmet. The bodice fit very snug witht he cups sewn in.

I had a corset back, so I was pretty much not going to wear anything underneath.

Re: anyone getting cups sewn into their dress?

Goldi, I love your dress!

I an getting cups sewn in. I have small boobs, and a low-backed dress, so it is easier and will help me look like a post-pubescent girl in the dress. Also, I think the ladies at Lillette's like to sew in cups so they can stick their hands down my dress while making fun of my small chest. Not that I would know from BM dress fittings from years past......

Re: anyone getting cups sewn into their dress?

i don't plan on getting anything else, unless I feel like i really need an added boost. I just hope they sew in a decent cup size - since if it were all of my own, I'd be in trouble

Thanks. It was funny because when we booked my photographer, he was saying how sometimes they get a few shots of the bride getting dressed (I assumed he meant when she was semi-dressed in her undergarments) and I quickly told him that there were certain shots he just was NOT going to get because I wasn't going to stand in front of a camera with my hands over my boobs knowing I'd have cups sewn in my dress.

i'm having cups sewn in... just so that i don't have to deal with an uncomfy bra that day... of course, there's not too much to hold up in that area
