Re: How long does the first meeting with a florist take?
It probably depends on how much you need and if you know what you want. If you don't really know what type of flowers you want then give yourself some extra time to discuss with them.

My Mom and I met w/ John of Flower Michelle, and we gabbed for about 2 hours.....we definitely could have been in and out of there in an hour though had my Mom and I not talked so much.

I would give each appointment about 2 hours. Just to be safe.

Depends on where you're going...I was with Pedastals for a half hour (they knew exactly what I wanted) and about 45 minutes with Flowers by Brian. When I went to retail florists by my house I got stuck with them for 2 1/2 hours. I would do per day..sometimes it can get confusing.

Re: How long does the first meeting with a florist take?
I would figure on at least an hour, though it depends. If you think you know what you want more or less, an hour or less should be okay. If you have no idea and want the florist to make suggestions, I would figure on two hours to be safe.
