Repost from BHB - How did you decide on a caterer if you aren't getting married at a hall??
Sorry to crash your board...but I thought you all might be able to help meI am trying to book a caterer. I have about 10,000 caterer info packs in front of me (well okay, maybe not 10,000 but d**n it, it feels like that many).
I am unsure of what to ask, and do I do a tasting before I book??? Help???? I have no clue

Be careful with caterers, because sometimes they can actually cost more than having it at a hall. Make sure you research all your options with halls… unless of course you want get married at your parent’s house (really cool by the way!)
And I would definitely want to do a food tasting with the caterer before I hired them.
