Beach wedding?
Help! I'm trying to find a waterfront spot to hold ceremony & reception - we want to rent a beach house. if we can't find one, reasonably priced locale would be excellent!i'm on day 3 of wedding planning and already overwhelmed!

Re: Beach wedding?
I almost booked Atlantica in West Hampton for my wedding....It's absolutely gorgeous and they do ceremonies on their deck which overlooks the beach. We weren't planning on having a beach ceremony since my parents would've dropped dead if we didn't have it in a church, but they showed us a ton of pictures when we went there and they do a gorgeous job with the ceremonies. The chef is also world renowned, and I think the reception room is very beachy and pretty.I think the website is:
www.ontheatlantic.com
Good luck! Just a little advice....
Calm down! Look at a ton of halls and don't make any snap decisions. I got all worked up when I first started planning and made some snap decisions I'm regretting now. Make sure you check EVERY potential vendor out on the Better Business Bureau website, and don't let anyone make you panic that you're not going to get the date, the dress, the photographer, the band, etc. that you want if you don't 'Book right now.' This can be really fun...just don't stress!

Re: Beach wedding?
Halls on the beach include:Crescent beach club, Land's End, Gurney's Inn and Atlantica - although none of them are cheap!
Also if you want a more casual vibe check out The Pavilion by Lessings.
Atlantica
Land's End
Gurney's Inn
Crescent Beach Club
Lessings - Sunken Meadow Pavilion
I wanted to go the rental route at first, but it actually costs SOO much money to rent a house on LI on the beach (and many have a minimal rental time of a week, month or the entire summer!). Good luck!

Re: Beach wedding?
Thank you so much for your suggestions - it's good to know there are options! I will definitely check these out - the Pavillion looks like it could fit what we're looking for - we live in huntington, so it's not too far.i feel better already!
