did u hear about the cruise ship on the news??

they were supposed to go from nj to bermuda and got re-routed to canada...and are not getting any money back!!!!!!!!!

-weather related...but still??? They weren't called..Royal Carib. only posted the change on their website!

and..there was a couple who were planning on having their wedding ceremony on the beach when they arrived at bermuda!

It will be on channel 7 at 5!!

Heard about that on the news this AM.
I also heard that once they changed destinations, the Nova Scotia sweatshirts that were 50% off in the gift shop went to full price!

Yes, totally wrong. Actually my mom was just telling me that they told everyone when they arrived at the pier for the boarding that they will not sail to the Caribbean but to Canada. People were not prepared and I heard it was cold up there...totally wrong! I would be fuming and demanding my $$$ back!

a lot of us on lif think That bribri and her husband Brian were on that cruise, that they took it because there honeymoon was ruined by hurricane Emily.

I was on this boat and it was SO COLD!!!!! We were wearing pants and long sleeve shirts all week. The only good day we had was Monday. After that we saw nothing but FOG. I feel really bad for those brides because RC did NOTHING for them.

This is not the first time a cruise ship has done this. They actually tell you when you book a trip during hurricane season, that it can change its destination pending the weather.
If someone is getting married in Bermuda, why would they take a cruise their. Its only a two hour flight.

I am sure this is not the greatest answer, but...

Nova Scotia is absolutely gorgeous and this time of year it is actually sunny and 70 degrees. Opposed to full blown rains and winds at 40 miles per hour in Bermuda I would be thankful that they didn't just park the ship in Bermuda and say oh well...enjoy your stay. They do tell you that they could re-route during hurricane season..that is why it is cheaper to go during this time.

I have a hard time feeling bad...Canada is way up north, but it isn't an iceberg!
