Warning...flat iron?

I just ordered my Solia flatiron the other day (didn't get it yet), but I was looking for a product to use w/ it to protect my hair & make it shiny.

Someone was warning against Fructis saying although it works, IF you color your hair the next time you do, the coloring won't stick to your hair and it actually HARMS your hair.

Someone that had a sister that owned a salon posted it.

Anyone know anything about this? Or what products are best to use that actually help hair?

Thx.

Re: Warning...flat iron?

Honestly Cin..I have used Fructise and well, no coloring probs here.
I use Pantene sleek.....AWESOME!
I have even been wearing my hair more straight than curly w/using the shampoo and conditioner. It sctually smooths out the hair and leaves if feeling soft w/out paying $20 a bottle.
I also use babybliss pro hot iron. I just found a place to get a new one. (mine is a little old and beat up).
Its the best one I have used for my thick curly hair and a 2inch plate. Love it!

Re: Warning...flat iron?

I use all the Fructis products and have been highlighted...so far so good. I've been using them for a few years. I got the Maxi-glide iron and I love it. Even DH noticed.. The one that really helps with the flat iron is the smoothing milk. You only need a tiny bit for shoulder length hair. Try not to put it by your roots or it will make it really flat looking on top.

I have really fine hair and not a lot of it and I was fed up with most flat irons. Honestly, I think you have to do what works for you. My hair is kind of wavy/curly not in the right spots annoying type of hair. Summertime kills me.
