Nice hotels in/near Disney?

We booked our flight to FL for our anniversary! But now we have to book our hotels. Any suggestions on where to stay in or near Disney? We don't want something crazy expensive (maybe not the ones actually in Disney), but a nice place nearby would be great. TIA!

Also, has anyone used priceline for hotels? I was thinking of just bidding $70/night for a 4 star and trying my luck with that.

Re: Nice hotels in/near Disney?

I dont know if this would interest you...but if you call WestGate ...they have 2 locations in the Disney Area. Its a Time Share resort...but they usually let none Time Share Owners stay there if they are willing to attend an 1 1/2 sales pitch. At the end of the pitch you tell them that you need to discuss this further and in private....and enjoy your stay in a nice condo...with full kitchen and luandry ammenities.

I usually ask my parents to use their time share so that I can save $$$ on dining out everyday....I go to Publix on the 1st day of my vacation and stock up on breakfast foods...and snacks.

Re: Nice hotels in/near Disney?

Polynesian and WL are among the msot expensive hotels there are.

When are you going that the All Stars are so expensive? I've never seen a rack for them above $99

If the ALl stars are so mugh you're probably going tin high season which means surrounding areas hotels will likely be a lot too. I always find it well worth it to stay on disney property. Go to mousesavers.com to find some discount codes that may help you! Getting an Annual Pass is sometimes worth it just in hotel discounts

I would recommend this hotel too. We stayed there 12 years ago for our honeymoon and my sister just stayed there this year. I know it is over $100 but is worth it. It is very clean and nice.

We're staying November 3-6. I was hoping for more like $75/80 a night. We are staying in FL a total of a week, but going other places before and after Disney. I didn't think it was a popular time but maybe it is.

Re: Nice hotels in/near Disney?

Suddenly there are no real good discounts on mousesavers. They've also changed the way the room discounts work with annual passes so it's almost not worth it.
