FOUR DAYS!!! Now it's two days!!!

Well really five days..but Im not counting monday because they will be in at 10 am!!!! I am so excited, I officially cant sleep! The investigator was able to locate one of my son's aunt and uncle so that they can come in and say goodbye and hopefully supply us with pictures from when he was a baby or pictures of his biological parents. So they will be getting on their plane on sunday and travel almost 20 hours!!! I am very very very excited..I cant believe its so close to them coming home. im starting to panic..what if they just really dont like me. What if they cry because they dont like it here and there is nothing I can do. Im scared. I will feel better when they are home..its just hard now because I have a big imagination.

Don't worry about that! Everything will work out, you'll see. I am sure they are just as excited as you are. Just focus on all of the fun you will have w/ them.

Alicia, I'm sure this will be a big adjustment for them...look what they are coming from and what you are giving them. But how could they not love you, and all you've done for them. I know you are probably running every possible scenario through your mind, but try not to panice...everything will be great.

Well, you can't expect them not to cry or be emotional. This is a huge thing. But you'll handle it.

Hopefully you've got yourself a good support system. It's not easy raising a single child (of your own) never mind two kids from another world.

You'll get through these next few days and pretty soon you'll be on the parenting boards chatting up a storm!

Don't worry about all that stuff.....how could they not love you?! What's not to love??!? I know it's hard, you must have a million and one thoughts running through your head, but be assured that the moment those boys step off the plane and into your arms, they will think they went to heaven! You will BE GREAT!!!

it will all work out fine being nervous is normal for a first time mom, when i brought home my son we looked at eachother and said what do we do now!!!? lol its all normal and it will all be wonderful!!!! good luck!!!

Just give it time......I am sure they will be so excited but also a little afraid at first

when I took my nephew in after he was with his drug addict mother for almost 5 yrs he too was very apprehensive about the situation
but after a little while he was hugging and kissing and acting like a typical 5 yr old.

You will be a great mom!!! And they WILL have a lot to adjust to, you all will, but you will figure out with them how to handle it. Just love them as much as you do and it will all work out!!

As I was reading your post, it hit me how even more great you are. Due to your incredible heart, I am so happy that your sons are able to travel together for the 20 hours, rather than solo. I wish I knew what they are thinking. When they get on that plane, they are no longer alone, they will become brothers. And when they reach the airport, they will no longer be orphans, but somebody's child and somebody's grand. I can't believe it is finally here!!

Wow, that's so true...I never thought of that. They are getting on the plane as orphans, and getting off as brothers with SUCH a loving mother. How blessed they are.
I, too, would love to be inside their little heads to know what they are thinking

I love you guys..you are such a great support for me...I am in this so deep..I dont know what Im doing or thinking anymore. This is crazy..I was less scatterbrained planning my wedding than I am now..my brain has officially left my head..I am roaming around like a zombie..I really shouldnt be driving!
I cant believe in three days..my boys will finally be in my arms..I hope they like me..I hope they dont picture me different..ugh..I feel like Im going on a terrible blind date...Ive tried on so many outfits..I THINK im just going to wear a simple brown sun dress..but who knows..Ill probably end up in something crazy because I dont know what Im doing..Im getting my hair done, nails.etc..this is just insane.....I just cant believe in 3 days..Im a mom!!!! YEA!!!!! Finally/...

Alcicia, just be yourself. Your appearance will not be important to them. I hear experts say that even dogs that are rescued have a deeper love and bond with their masters, so imagine what intelligent children will be thinking. Your sons are old enough to know what their lives were and would be like and what you are giving them. They always have each other to discuss their feelings and to work out their confusions - so even if they do get homesick and cry, they won't be alone. You also have names of other families who adopted children from the same area, right? I'm sure you will all be facing the same difficulties. This support group will be a tremendous help. Keep up your faith and your cheerful nature and even through the hard times, you will handle it will compassion and understanding.

I am sure all of us here on LIW will keep you in our prayers this week-end.

TWO days!!!! Its really feeling real now!!! I picked my mom up from the airport last night and we will dirve down monday morning to go get my children~!!!!! I cant believe in just two days..they'll finally be here. I keep waiting for something to happen saying they arent coming...Im sooooo excited!
