funny non vendor story

Last night I recieved a phone call from a videographer....to confirm my wedding date.
The funny thing is that my FH and I have never spoken to this guy or his Co before. We booked our video with the same place doing our photography...we never spoke to any video people other than the one we booked.

I asked him how he got my name, home # and wedding info...he said that he has no idea...its scheduled in his book for August 19th.

I asked him if anyone left a deposit...he said that they must have because he never rights anything in his book without a deposit.

I told him that Im sorry for the confusion but we already have a photographer and videographer....I told him that I doubt someone else would book a vendor for us without discussing it with us.

I asked close family and friends...no one has any idea what happened.

I feel bad the poor guy has turned other brides away thinking that this date was booked...for over a yr.

Is it possible that your photography place farmed out your wedding to someone else because they were overbooked? I woulld check with your photography studio.

hmm weird!

We had a tux place I had just visited call my FH to come in for his fitting!! I never left a deposit or signed a contract, yet they insisted and called back many times!

I was actually at my photography place last week...and confirmed with them who was shooting the wedding....so I know that they didn't farm out.....but that would have made sense otherwise

when I was discussing the details with the non vendor he told me that he had us down for one edited VHS tape and one non edited tape....our contract is for 3 edited DVD's and one unedited DVD....so the contract is even different.
