gift for young ring bearer -repost from 05 board
Any ideas? He is only 2 1/2. I already got him a cute ring bearer teddy but need to get him something more significant. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What about a personalized piggy bank with a savings bond inside??My son is 2 1/2 and honestly at this age besides his little toys he loves he wouldn't go crazy for anything.. at least the money he will appreciate when he is older and he can have the piggy bank for years to come!

Glad I could help!!! If you really want to give him something he can use now as opposed to the savings bond you can put a GC for toys R us inside! Let him go with his parents to pick out whatever he wants

I really am liking the bond idea. Between him & his sister, they could open up a toys r us. I am going to look into the bond tomorrow. thanks again!!

Yeah then I think the savings bond is the way to go!! I can not tell you how much his parents will also appreciate that!! I know I LOVE when people give my son savings bonds for his future as opposed to 'another toy' that will be in the garbage ( or donated or sold on ebay) within the next few years.
