Did anyone watch the followup story on News 12?

They interviewed the owner, and she said that her business was failing because a few brides posted on 'some wedding website' about rumors that they were closing down a few months back. She said it was about 4 pages long. Anyway, she said after that she lost a lot of business because of it.

yeah....we were commenting on that last night....bottom line....and rumor that started a little more than a month ago...did not ruin a business of 25 yrs....there is alot more to it than that

Sad how people refuse to take responsibility. In no universe would I ever believe that a four page post on a wedding website would have ever ruined anyone's business. First and foremost...this site prides itself on not letting rumors get out of hand...we are however allowed to discuss actual experiences. So Bea brought this upon herself and her store.

EXACTLY!!!! FH doesnt even know the situation and he was like 'How does a 4 page post ruin a 20 year business? You'd have to be stupid to believe that!'

Im glad for that post, because it warned plenty of brides beforehand. The best thing I love about LIW is that we ALL look out for each other.

I was thinking the same thing when I was watching the news last night!

so how does she explain not ordering dresses over a year ago!

Sorry to hijack your board, but does this woman honeslty believe that she was setup by LIW? That is the way she is making it sound. You have to piss off alot of people to run your business into the ground. What an idiot. I feel terribly for everyone that has to deal with all this nonsense she has created. Good luck to you all, I'm sure everything will work out.

And not for nothing, but how can she sit there and blame a website and yet take NO RESPONSIBILITY at the fact that not only did she FORGET to order people's dresses and pocket the money, but she didnt call anyone to tell them 'Oh by the way, we are closing down'. Hmph !

Could you seriously imagine if this little old website was THAT powerful. The problems started coming up in June and there was a post or two about it...so just 2 months to shut a place down....wow!

Unbelievable what some people will say. But...let's watch out for LIW....careful what exactly you say cause you never know who's lurking. Definitely don't want Ron and Liz to have any problems over this.
