Another Question About Sandals St. Lucia

Does any one know: Besides the resorts, what else is there to do in St. Lucia? Is there a town?

Re: Another Question About Sandals St. Lucia

i've heard from other people that have gone there that there is a town- I think its called Castries. There is shopping there. There are the Pitons- which I think are non-active volcanos....There is also a rainforest.

Re: Another Question About Sandals St. Lucia

There are several towns, the capital is Castries. There is shopping, but I would recommend going on the day trip through Sandals. That was one of the outtings offered, as was a tour of the volcano, a open jeep ride through the rain forest, snorkeling, whale watching, etc. On several tours (like the volcano one) they stop at villages where you can buy stuff - but even those were somewhat commercial - like tshirts and wooden bowls and artifacts that all said St Lucia on them.

I didnt go on the shopping outting, but I was told by someone who went on their own to the towns that they were stopped and asked for money A LOT

That was just my experience

But Sandals offers a lot to do on the resort itself. FM me for more info
