I can't believe some people!

I just got a phone call from my FFIL asking me if we invited someone to the wedding. This someone is a family member but one that neither of us know nor do we even remember the last time that we saw them!! THEY ASKED FI's Aunt to ask my FFIL to ask me if they could come!!! That is so tacky and rude to me!!! I'm beginning to go insane with this family and this *&*^ guest list!! I already have 175 people on this list and we DO NOT want to add anymore. UGH!!

People are so rude I really don't understand it! I'm DREADING that point where we have to do the guest list, his dads side are such pain in the @sses

I totally feel your pain. I have a woman that I am not close with (from high school) that has sent me at least 4 e-mails recently BEGGING to be invited to our wedding.

I told her already it's too expensive to inite everyone on our list and we need to cut family and close friends off of the current list. She had the nerve to write that she understands if I 'don't have space' for her and her husband, she would 'come alone' since it's her first potential visit to NYC. I guess she thinks we will hang out with her and entertain her while she is in town

It's really unbelievable!! It's the updated part now though - FI wanted to go through the list of his family again that he didn't invite (these are all the people we barely know and haven't seen in YEARS!). He went through figuring out who else is related to the couple that asked if they can come and that's another 9 people that he may end up inviting now!!!

I am so mad!! He's going to cause a huge problem because now I picture the whole 'Well, you invited so and so. Why can't I come?' Why does he feel like he has to give in to his family all the time!! And why can't these people take no for an answer?? It's so aggravating!!!!!!!
