Anyone doing their own makeup?

My FI says with an expensive dress, veil, tiara, etc. I have to have my makeup done for the pics. Is anyone doing their own? I just want to look like myself!!

I'm in the field and I'm getting my makeup done as well. Don't want the hassle, much rather be pampered the day of.

i am i have been practicing plus i figure if i spend alot on makeup to use day of at least its mine to keep and reuse

If you are worried about looking too made up then let them know to make you look *natural*. I loved the way my makeup looked. It photographed well & looked good in pics. Plus it was one less thing I had to worry about that day.

How did you find your makeup person? Can I have her info.

The more I think about it, I probably will get it done.

I used Jenn from FairyTale makeovers. I am not sure if she is stiall accepting brides, but I would also very highly recommend Jaqueline Nicole. (I think she is a vendor on this site.)

ETA: I foudn them both on here & had the chance to see Jaqueline's work on a few brides (in person.)

I fully intended to have my make up done, but I went on several trials and never liked the way it looked. I tried several different people and finally decided to do it myself. it wasn't too much of a hassle and it made for some nice getting ready pics and I thought it turned out great. Plus, I still felt like I looked like myself, only better than usual! Plus now I have some new products I can keep and use again.

I was going to do my own but then I reconsidered and I am getting it done. I tend to be VERY red in pictures, so I thought it best to get my mu done professionally.

I just think doing it would be so stressful on the day of...I am getting it done..my luck I would screw it up and have to redo it all over again
