NWR- My heart is broken...please pray.

It is with a very sad and heavy heart that I tell you ladies that my grandfather passed away of a heart attack yesterday. He was just 69.

It was quite a shock for me and my family, though he has battled heart disease for 30 years. he has his first open heart surgery shortly after I was born, and he was fighting ever since.

My grandfather meant more to me than he could ever know. He was still raising crazy teenagers when I came on the scene (my parents were both 17 when I was born!!) but he made it his mission to make sure I was taken care of- and placed the father figure burden on himself when his son abandoned my mom, my sister, and I.

I am the oldest of 10 grandchildren and one great-grand child, yet at 30, he still greated me every time with 'what is it, my baby'

when I first go engaged I told him I couldn't wait to dance to our song 'sumer Wind' at my wedding- our own little father daughter dance- but I had to settle for the last time we did- this past May at my cousin's graduation party.

needless to say, I probably won't be on much for the next few days.

Ladies, please let those you love know how much you love them. I know grandpa knew how much I loved him, I just wish I showed him so much more!

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. There aren't any words I can offer that would not sound cliche. Just know that we are here to support you.

How true it is to express yourself to the ones you love while they are still here on earth. I unfortunately know how this feels all too well. Maybe your grandfather and my father can take care of each other in heaven.

OMG, I am soooo sorry to hear that. I lost my grandpa a few months back and we were also very close. My heart goes out to you and your family. We are all here for you
