Rainy day wedding question

Rainy day wedding question
ok - I am getting married in April and there is a very good chance it could rain...my dress is huge with a 12 ft train..... what do I do to not get it dirty? My mom said wear a garbage bag... ????
any suggestions?

It was a monsoon on my wedding day. When we were going from the house to the limo and then from the limo to church, my father helped me. After that, either I held it myself or DH helped me.

I can't believe that I am actually stressing about this 7 mths before my wedding!!!

My sister works in theater and to protect the costumes, the put two holes in a clear plastic garbage bag and step through. Then you and/or your bridesmaids can hold up the bag. There is less of a chance that someone will drop it and even if they do, your dress will fall in the bag. you can also leave it on the ground for pics b/c it is clear!!
