Re: Beach wedding on Long Island

Some beach weddings spots include:

Atlantica
Land's End
Crescent Beach Club
Lessing's The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow (less formal, and the least expensive of the lot)
Gurney's Inn in Montauk

Also on the water (not necessarily a beach present):
Venetian Yacht Club
The Riviera
Chateau La Mer
Harbor Club
Thatched Cottage
Bayview House at Captain Bill's
Snapper Inn (smaller, more casual)

I'm sure there are more I am forgetting. Good luck.

Great job! Just to add a few, you should also check out Sayville Country Club...it's not on a beach, but it has a beautiful waterview. Also, the RiverView, I think it's called...it's a Lessings Place. No beach, but right on the water and very pretty.

I am biased to The Riviera...definitely check it out. The website does it no justice, it is a BEAUTIFUL place.

Re: Beach wedding on Long Island

They are not on the beach, but Venetian Yacht Club (they used to be John Anthony's) has a beautiful view. The couple of times I've been there I felt like I was on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean.

Hope that helps!

Re: Beach wedding on Long Island

I know a bride that actually took a boat to get to her wedding at the Rivera! That sounds pretty cool.

Also, check out Captian Bills. It's so pretty and it's right on the water too. The mininmum was too high for me but it might work for you.

Chateau La Mer is not 'on the beach' but it is right on the water. Definitely check it out. Go see Nick ... he's the best. Here are some threads for you to check out:

Re: Beach wedding on Long Island

I'm having my wedding at Gurneys and its beautiful. But you're right, it is expensive. Of course it all depends on the amount of people you have. You should check out the Montauk Yacht Club. Its right on the water where the boats come in and it's across from the very pretty coast guard station. I believe its about $115 per person. Good Luck!

Me too! It's not on a beach, but it's right on the water. We wanted the beach/water reception too and most places were out of our budget, until we found CLM!

I don't know if you are looking for a place on LI, but Iam getting married at the Surf Club in New Rochelle. They are pretty reasonable and on the beach. FM me if you want more info.

Awesome list Suzanne!

I love the idea of a wedding on the water.

All of the places on the water are going to be a pretty penny unless you book off season.

Re: Beach wedding on Long Island

Harbor club on the water not beach but picturesque... I will be posting my pics from my wedding this weekend, you can check it out. Our wedding was 4/29 this year and I have to say it was really beautiful with the sunset and the food was exceptional!

All the sailboats on the water added to our wedding album.

I priced alot of places getting discouraged, until I found my perfect catering hall on the water... I say perfect because it surpassed my expectations on the day of our wedding...

I was soo afraid of being dissapointed after we booked but Matt was the best!
He really fine tuned all the details for us..

Not necessarily true! You have to look around and negotiate if need be.
