DIY Program Questions

My FI volunteered us to make programs. Do I need a template or can I just use Word or a similar program? Is this a complicated task? Can it be done in a day? We're running out of time and don't have many free weekends left. Any advice on making programs would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

microsoft word and microsoft publisher both have templates you can use.
