Newlyweds: How many days did you take off before your wedding?

And what did you do? Spa stuff like nails, hair cut, color? Or were you running around doing last minute wedding stuff?

My brother and sister will be coming from OOT on 11/4. I want to get my nails done that day...Wondering if I need more than one day. I was planning on doing all wedding chores beforehand, so I can just take one day and relax.

I'm not a newlywed, but I'm taking two days off from work before the wedding...plus I'm getting married on a Sunday so three days to finish up, freak out and try to relax!

Wedding was on a Friday and I took off Weds & Thurs.

Weds we did the last minute drop off to the hall and went for the last appt at the photographer and DH picked up his tux.

Thursday I got my nails done and we had the RD.

I KILLED myself the weekend before to have everything done so incase unforseen things happened I would have time to get them done. Plus I wanted to relax a bit!

I am getting married on a Saturday, so I plan on taking Wed-Fri off. Possibly tuesday too.

My weddding was a Friday

(Friday) One week before: highlights & haircut

Weekend before: New Years weekend, didn't do much, except finalize lists for the hall, have my rehersal dinner, etc ...

Worked Monday & Tuesday

Wednesday: dropped off all boxes & instructions at hall, reviewed final details with them, made final payment to florist, confirmed all vendor times & directions

Thursday: nails, last make up trial and waxing. Honeymoon packing, brought stuff oer to the new house, had dinner with MOH, relaxed with parents. Redid nails because they got smugged

Wedding on a Saturday. My last day for the week is Tuesday!
I saved my vacation, so I would be able to take off before and after.

Well, I'm taking off a whole week... but then again, my wedding is out of state now that FH and I moved to Florida... We have a ton of stuff to do that week we're in NY, including,

-all the beauty appointments
- marriage license
- meetings with all vendors
- wrapping the favors (which we had shipped to my fmil's house since she still resides in NY)
etc . . .

Besides, I won't be able to concentrate at work that week anyway!!!!

I was off all day Thurs and Fri before my Sat wedding, and was only in half a day Tues and Wed of that week.

I tk off the week of my wedding...and I wish I could say that I did relaxing stuff. Nope, I ran around like a chicken without a head!

The Monday of our wedding week is Columbus Day so I'll be off that day. I'm just going to come in on the Tuesday and take the rest of the week off. We'll have a lot of OOTers so I want time to hang out with them.

I plan on having a manicure the evening before the wedding, so I don't mess it up!

None -- I left 2 hours early on Friday (Wedding on Sunday). I was a bit stressed, because I had a lot of little things to do (pack, get table camera, print reserved seating signs for the ceremony) but it wasn't really that bad.

Our wedding was a Fri and I took off Wed-Thurs. Wed, we ran around and made payments. Thurs, DH & I did a his & hers massage (I highly recommend this!) and I got my nails done and a spray tan then had our RD.
