Names on table cards...

If someone is coming with a guest (not married), do you put 'Mr. John Smith and Guest' or 'Mr. John Smith and Ms. Jane Doe' ? And if the two people are the same gender, do you put them on the same card (Ms. Susan Smith and Ms. Jane Doe or a separate card for each or Ms. Susan Smith and Guest). Thanks so much....

Well I'm doing Mr and Mrs. John Doe; Mr. John Doe and Mrs. Jane Doe; Mr. John Doe and Guest; and if it's a couple who are same sex and they are coming together and were together on the invite then I would put them on the same card. Does this help?
