Thanks! You can't expect nothing ever to happen on that day ever again! It's time to move past it, time to find things to celebrate on that day!

You really celebrate Grandparents day? I only did in elemetary school when our grandparents could come in for part of the day!

You really celebrate Grandparents day? I only did in elemetary school when our grandparents could come in for part of the day!

It started out that way.

But when I was old enough to realize what it was, I started to send a card to my grandmother - I've done it almost every year since. IT's just a card, and most of the time she doesn't even remember that it's grandparents day herself, but I know she's touched whenever she gets my card. I know it makes her smile

and I like for her to know I'm thinking about her.

I love g'rents day.

When I was in Elem school, all of the grandparents would come in for the day, and we'd do nothing but read stories in the library, paint pictures, and play on the playground.

In first grade, my g'ma and I stumbled across a book about a g'ma and g'daughter, and the g'ma in the book LOOKED like mine, but her name was Sylvia. My g'ma's name is Dolores, but I've called her sylvia ever since!

hehe

I've been searching Amazon for the title of that book, because I'd LOVE to buy it for her. Can't find it though

I didn't realize when Grandparents day was until this year, I noticed it on the calendar, b/c I was fillling in plans for the 10th, which is when we are celebrating my grandmother's birthday
(the 14th ) & my grandparents' annivesary (the 9th), so maybe we shoud get a 3rd cake & celebrate grandparents day while we are at it!

awww, same here! My grandpa never came - he was always at work.
