Do you have to do this? Do guests really use this?

No you do not have to do this! I did however, use them at every wedding I have gone to. Most halls should provide something!

You don't have to but I did and I'm always happy to see one when I attend a wedding.

They have them at most weddings and I see guest using them. They are great when you forget something, epecially since everyone's hand bag is so small that there isn't much room.

Usually you put in
tampons,
clear nailpolish(runs in panty hose)
dental picks,
mini mouthwash,
handi wipes,
baby wipes(if you are having kids)
hair spray or hair gel
Hair ties for when everyone is breaking down on the dance floor
Mini sewing kit (emergencies)
Mini lint brush
Mint candies

Find out first if your bathroom attendent provides one and if your hall has more than one wedding at a time using a bathroom.

Our hall the Bathroom attendent brings one and two weddings use the bathroom.

You don't have to. I did and a lot of people were pleasantly surprised when they saw it. Everything from band aids to hairspay to Immodium was used by the end of the night.
